Tips for a Great Letter

Be yourself
Encourage your child to write in their own voice, even if it’s just a few words.

Draw or write.
Pictures are just as welcome as words.

Share something fun.
They can tell Lotty what they’re learning, their favorite word or letter, or even a silly joke.

Keep it bright and cheerful.
Colorful letters and drawings always stand out.

Don’t worry about spelling.
Mistakes are part of learning, and Lotty understands.

Take a clear photo.
Make sure the picture or scan is well-lit, sharp, and easy to see.

Make It a Learning Moment

Writing a letter to Lotty can be a fun learning moment too! Sit with your child and help them think about what they want to say. You can sound out words together, talk about letters and sounds, and let them write in their own way. It’s a great way to practice early reading and writing while making something special.
