Your Child’s Moment to Shine!

We love seeing kids light up while learning. Whether it’s their first word or a big breakthrough, these moments inspire others and show real progress. Videos may be featured on social media, in a Lotty video, or on our site to celebrate their success.

How It Works

Welcome to Lotty Learns. Before diving in, we want to share what makes our approach different.

We’re here to help you teach your child to read. Everything on this site is designed with that goal in mind. Our tools work best when parents stay involved every step of the way.

We believe:

  • Learning to read is a skill that requires real practice and real support

  • Children learn best through simple, focused tools that don’t rely on games, characters, or reward systems

  • Reading doesn’t have to be flashy to be powerful

  • Parent involvement is the most important part of reading success

Our tools are intentionally calm, quiet, and word-focused. They move at your child’s pace, not the pace of a game. We’re not here to entertain. We’re here to teach.

Why? Because reading isn’t always exciting. It’s sometimes slow. It takes focus. And that’s okay. Kids who only learn through constant stimulation may struggle later to sit with a book on their own. We want to set them up for real, lasting success.

What We Ask of You

  • Sit with your child and guide them through each word using the Phonics Trainer

  • Print out our badges and challenges so you understand what each tool is teaching

  • Use the worksheets to support hands-on practice and build confidence

  • Stay involved — your presence makes all the difference

Our tools are here to help, but it’s your involvement that makes it work.

Thank you for joining us in building strong, confident readers.

Let’s celebrate those big wins!

Capture a short video of your child using the Phonics Trainer. These are the kinds of moments families love to share:

  1. When your child reads a word out loud

  2. When they use the slider to sound it out

  3. When they smile or celebrate a word they read

  4. Any moment that made you feel proud

  5. There’s no pressure to get it perfect, natural is best!

A 15 to 30 second clip is perfect for sharing a proud moment.

Use good lighting.
Make sure the video is bright so we can clearly see your child and the screen.

Choose vertical or horizontal.
Both tall and sideways videos work. Use whatever’s easiest for you!

Capture real moments.
Real moments matter. Show your child using the tool confidently.

Guide and encourage.
Support your child as they use the tool. Your help makes it special.

Keep background noise low.
Try to record in a quiet space so we can hear your child clearly.

Make It a Learning Moment

Writing and reading with your child can be a special bonding time. Sit together, sound out words, and celebrate their progress as they explore the Phonics Trainer. You’re helping them grow and capturing a memory you’ll both love.
