How Do You Earn Badges?
Keep learning with the interactive tools in the Phonics Factory. When you’ve practiced a tool enough and feel ready, ask a grown-up to help with that tool’s badge challenge. Then add your new badge to your very own Badge Book!
Craft Your Badge Book
The Badge Book is a fun way to track reading milestones. Start by building the book using construction paper. Then paste in the printable pages, each with a spot to add the badge your child earns. Kids can decorate it to make it their own as they track their progress.
Tips for Parents
Build the badge book first.
Use construction paper to make the base pages, then glue on each printable Badge Page.
Let your child see what they're working toward.
The empty badge spots help set a clear goal.
Use the Badge Challenge sheet as a checklist.
It includes all the words from each Phonics Factory section. If your child can read them all, they earn the badge that comes with it.
Only add badges when earned.
This keeps the reward meaningful and builds motivation.
